INDIVIDUAL GIVING OFFICER

JOB PURPOSE

The Marie Keating Foundation's mission is to make cancer less
frightening by enlightening and our aim is to live in a world free
from the fear of cancer.

Today, the Foundation is one of the leading voices in Ireland for
cancer prevention, awareness, and support. We are committed to being
there for people diagnosed with cancer, and their families, at every
step of their cancer journey, and our services reflect that. Through
our information and support services, we reach thousands of people
each year, with education, information and advice focused on cancer
prevention and early detection, as well as providing support services
and financial assistance to those living with and beyond cancer.

Individual Giving plays a major part in our plans for sustainable
growth and the main purpose of this role will be to manage a variety
of direct marketing campaigns with a focus on face-to-face
fundraising, to grow our income and number of supporters.

The role includes helping to develop and manage Direct Mail and EDM
Appeals including Digital Lead Generation Campaigns, Legacy Giving,
Tax, and other income generation initiatives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

* Help develop, create, and run effective fundraising appeals and
campaigns based on sound fundraising and marketing principles, with
clear targets and accurate budgeting.
* Manage activity for the recruitment of new donors and the
retention and development of existing donors.
* As part of the fundraising team, support other fundraising
initiatives and events as required.
* Work closely with key internal stakeholders including nursing,
communications, and advocacy to help develop compelling cases to
support Individual Giving campaigns.
* Work with third-party suppliers (face-to-face agencies, printers,
designers etc.) to ensure projects are rolled out on time and within
budget.

CRM AND DATA

* Work with MS Dynamics and be proficient in all
fundraising-relevant areas of CRM Systems.
* Be able to carry out donor record management including updating
details and payment methods.
* Work closely with key stakeholders to target individuals
appropriately and produce and manage segmentation according to the
campaign.
* Work closely with stakeholders to report on results (response
rates, average gift, ROI etc.) for each campaign with recommendations
to maximise growth in income and supporters for future campaigns.

SUPPORTER CARE

* To help develop and implement supporter loyalty programmes to
retain and engage donors.
* Act as the first point of contact for individual giving
supporters, ensuring phone calls and emails are answered promptly and
professionally.
* Ensure supporter records are kept up to date and accurate.
* Manage the acknowledgement process for all donations.

OTHER

* Keep up to date on developments in direct and digital fundraising
and marketing.
* Strong understanding of GDPR legislation and its impact on donor
acquisition and stewardship.
* Conduct any other reasonable tasks within the scope of the role as
agreed with your line manager.
* Act in the best interests of the Marie Keating Foundation at all
times and in accordance with our mission and vision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

* Minimum of 2 years experience within a fundraising team REQUIRED
ideally including Individual Giving, face-to-face, print and digital
marketing.
* Skills in using CRM systems are REQUIRED, ideally, experience with
MS Dynamics is desirable.
* Knowledge of Legacy and Tax Campaigns desirable.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in both written
and verbal English REQUIRED.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel REQUIRED.
* Ability to work to set targets and deadlines EXPECTED.
* High level of attention to detail EXPECTED.
* A full, clean driving license is desirable.

JOB DETAILS

* Fulltime role 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday – flexibility may
sometimes be required.
* Hybrid working available with a minimum of two days per week in
the office.
